Real Stories
Jordan was the awakening of a curiosity about the Arab world that culminated in the creation of this project.
Even in a world with a huge amount of accessible information, there is a lack of knowledge about the Middle East. To fill this gap, our team selects and publishes the most relevant news and analysis for those interested in the region.
To this end, we have transformed our long-standing personal interest in following Middle East issues into a platform for sharing knowledge and experiences about this part of the world, a need that has become more evident with the challenges experienced in this region.
It all started when Tomás Almendra lived in Jordan for five years, where he learned Arabic and had first-hand contact with the culture and history of this regional area.

We aim to strengthen relations between the Portuguese public and the rich cultural, historical and social tapestry of the Middle East. Through an inclusive and erudite approach, this space offers essays and articles that unveil the traditions, arts, politics and economy of the region. We seek to deconstruct stereotypes and foster a deeper and more humanized understanding of the diverse nations and cultures that make up the Middle East.

In order to overcome the difficulty Arabic speakers have in accessing news about the Middle East, this project is bilingual (Portuguese-English), but we have also accepted the challenge of having a space in Arabic, with a collection of the most interesting news from this world.
